PL Primary Stars launches at Liberty

If you’re a head teacher and want to get your school involved with our Premier League Primary Stars project, then come along to our Primary Stars launch at the Liberty Stadium.

Enabling you to find out more about the Premier League’s most ambitious community project to date, as well as giving you the opportunity to sign up your school, the launch will be held on May 19 here at the Liberty.

Running from 12.30-2.30pm, our Primary Stars co-ordinators will be on hand to introduce the project to schools from throughout South West Wales and give them all the details about signing up for the 2017/18 academic year.

Using the appeal of football and sport to connect and inspire, Premier League Primary Stars aims to develop skills and ambition both on and off the sports field with resources for girls and boys aged 5-11 years old. Providing curriculum-linked Key Stage 1 and 2 classroom resources for PE, Maths, English and Enterprise, Primary Stars also helps to engage with junior Jacks and nurture their development in the classroom and in the playground.

Additionally, the programme helps to encourage life skills such as teamwork and resilience and works to promote equality, diversity and anti-bullying. By doing this Primary Stars aims to develop the whole child from improving their physical literacy and enhancing their learning, to teaching them relevant life skills and behaviours.
