Coleg Sir Gar Camps a big hit

Last month, the Swans Community Trust took their Soccer Camps to a brand new venue and they were a big hit for all involved.

In addition to Camps at venues such as Play Football Swansea, Ammanford Leisure Centre and in Haverfordwest, the Community Trust hosted training sessions for junior Jacks at Coleg Sir Gar in Llanelli for the first time.

Held on the college’s newly installed 3G pitch, the football training sessions were attended by over 50 young Swans aged between 5-12  years old and they proved to be a success with the kids and coaches alike, as well as the college itself.

“It’s great to be working alongside the Swans Community Trust,” said Jonathan Garcia, Coleg Sir Gar’s Community Hub Leader. “We are very pleased to be supporting the development of children in the local area,” he continued.

Stephen Greene, Carmarthenshire’s Premier League Primary Stars Area Co-ordinator, added; “We are delighted to be running our Soccer Camps at Coleg Sir Gar’s new 3G pitch and the children loved playing on the new surface. We hope that our relationship with Coleg Sir Gar will continue to grow and have a positive effect on grassroots football in the area,” he finished.
