Cadets and Community Trust team up

Local army cadets will this weekend be collecting donations to raise money for the Community Trust.

Accompanying the Community Trust at our last Premier League game of the season on Sunday will be volunteers from the Dyfed and Glamorgan Army Cadet Force who will be aiding in the annual bucket collection.

Aiming to raise money for the Club’s official charity as we line up against Manchester City, the collection will help the Community Trust to fund its array of projects including Premier League Kicks, Sign Up To Success and Healthy Together.

“We are delighted to welcome the Dyfed and Glamorgan Army Cadet Force into the Liberty Stadium for our end of season charity bucket collection," said Charlotte Rogers, the Community Trust’s Fundraising Officer.

“The cadets do a tremendous amount of charity work in the community and we are pleased to get their help in raising much-needed funds that will help us to continue to provide health awareness sessions, training and education courses and sports participation projects across South West Wales." she continued.

“Army Cadets from B (Rorke’s Drift) Company, Dyfed & Glamorgan ACF, are pleased to be assisting the Swans Community Trust with their bucket collection," added Second Lieutenant Darren Evans.

“The cadets regularly take part in ‘Cadet in the Community’ events throughout the year which helps them pass their qualifications and star levels.”

Keep an eye out for the cadets who will be collecting with Community Trust buckets at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday 15 May.
