Girls development sides dominate season opener

Swans girls development sides start the season with two dominating wins and a draw away at Yeovil.

The under-12 team drew their first ever game 4-4 against the Glovers.

Meanwhile the under-14 and under-16 sides recorded dominating 7-1 and 9-1 wins respectively.

Swans girls development coach, Nia Davies hailed the young players start to the season.

“The girls have had a great start with all our age groups playing some really good football.

“Our under-16s are a new squad and have really impressed with a strong defence.

“They dominated the midfield and took their chances well with Charlotte Phillips and Ela Roberts scoring five between them.

“The results are a great confidence boost as we head into our next home game against Swindon.”

All three age groups face Swindon Town girls at Fairwood this Saturday (1pm)
