Under-18s held to draw by Bristol City

The Under-18s were held to a 2-2 draw against Bristol City at Landore last weekend.

A Joe Rodon header put the home side ahead before City levelled with a 25 yard free kick before the interval.

The visitors went ahead via the penalty spot in the second period, but Swansea came back to earn a point through Owain Jones.

It means the Under-18s continue their unbeaten run, which now stands at six matches.

And coach Cameron Toshack was pleased with the squad's application in what was a youthful starting line-up.

"We included nine first-year scholars and one Under-16 player so that was very pleasing and encouraging for us moving forward," he said.

"We have to do that now in order to give the players some more experience and there are always challenges for them, but all in all I thought they applied themselves really well.

"We know we have to be more clinical at the top end of the pitch because we are creating a lot of chances, but we have to take advantage when these moments occur.

"However, credit must also go to Bristol City who showed resilience to stay in the game and they will probably feel as though they deserved a point.

SWANS U18s: Lewis Thomas, Aaron Lewis, Connor Quigley (Ben Jones), Keston Davies, Joe Rodon, Tom Dyson, Jack Evans (Brandon Griffiths), Kyle Copp, Stephen Fallon, Liam Cullen (Ashleigh Harries), Owain Jones.
