Three Swans Academy Players Included In Wales Squad

Three players from Swans Academy have been included in Wales Under-16’s squad to play Northern Ireland in the Victory Shield this Thursday (November 20th).

Two wins in the competition mean Wales need just a draw to win the trophy outright for the first time since 1948/49.

Swans midfielder Liam Cullen – who scored both goals during the 2-1 win over Scotland earlier this month – has retained his place in the squad.

Dan Jefferies and Keiran Evans also get recalls.

Jefferies and Cullen represent Swans Academy through our education partnership with Cwmtawe Community School in Pontardawe - Evans attends school at Ysgol Gyfun Bryntawe, Swansea.

The squad will fly to Belfast Wednesday afternoon.

The game at Ballymena Showground’s kicks off at 6pm with the match shown live on Sky Sports 5.
